Iowa Skilled Trades
At Andrew’s Roofing Company, we believe giving back to the community means investing in its future. We proudly participate in the annual Iowa Skilled Trades event in Des Moines, Iowa. This hands-on event brings together skilled trade professionals and students from across the state, offering young people the chance to explore rewarding career paths, including roofing.
In 2023, we teamed up with GAF at the Iowa Skilled Trades event in Des Moines to give students a hands-on look at the roofing industry. Our joint booth featured a live roofing demo, which quickly became a crowd favorite. Our team had a blast showing kids the tools of the trade, answering questions, and sharing what makes roofing such a rewarding career. It was a great day of mentorship, teamwork, and inspiring the next generation of skilled professionals.
This year, we had the pleasure of collaborating with GAF, this time through the GAF Roofing Academy, at the 2025 Iowa Skilled Trades event. Together, we introduced students to the fundamentals of roofing with hands-on activities and real-world insights. Our team was proud to mentor young attendees and share our passion for the trade. We’re truly grateful for the opportunity to work alongside GAF once again to help inspire the next generation of roofing professionals.
